Add a classic piece of early American aviation history to your space with the Meatball Roundel Magnet. Featuring the iconic U.S. military aircraft marking commonly known as the “Meatball” roundel, this design represents one of the earliest standardized national insignia used by American air services.

The “Meatball” roundel was in official service from August 19, 1919, to May 28, 1942. Its design - a centered red circle set within a white star on a blue field - was drawn from a pentagon-based star and quickly became a recognizable symbol of American aircraft in the interwar years and early stages of World War II. The colors were originally described as Old Glory Red and Old Glory Blue (also known as Flag Red and Flag Blue), before later being standardized as Insignia Red No. 45, Insignia White No. 46, and Insignia Blue No. 47.

Crafted as a durable, custom die-cut vinyl magnet, this piece is flexible, weather-resistant, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It’s perfect for displaying on refrigerators, toolboxes, lockers, or any magnetic surface—bringing a subtle but meaningful nod to aviation history wherever it’s placed.
